3 Years!! Holy Cow!

My goodness!!! I can not believe that it has been 3 years since I posted on this blog.
Alright who am I kidding! Any one that knows what has been going on her at my house will understand. We have had a rough few years kids being sick getting used to new schedules Grandma and Grandpa live with us off and on. Hubby's Schedule has been crazy at times, our shop Little Guys Stitching has been busy, the list is endless.
As you know some things just have to give. When there is a list of things to do... Work, cleaning, School Volunteering, school parties, Appointments, Etc ( the list goes on and on) writing my blog always ends up at the very bottom. At the end of the day when there is a choice of making friends with my pillow or staring at the computer because I have no ideas I choose to sleep.

This year started like all the rest we have a goal of cleaning up, we have goals of doing more with the kids, we have goals of finding more time to relax and enjoy the little things.

There are no resolutions this year. Lets face it life gets busy and we spend the days just trying to get that to do list done. If we make it through to dinner and bath time, and actually get the boys to go to bed on time with out the I'm thirsty, I'm hungry, Its dark! There is a new monster under my bed, My brother took my book I wanted. We are going to call that a win.
So in closing.... Happy New Year!! May this year be a good one for you!

Struggling to keep up!!

Good Morning all!!

Well since we last talked my entire family has been struggling with a nasty cold that just won't let go. My poor little guys are coughing and hacking like you wouldn't believe.. Last night was the first night that G actually got some decent sleep in about 5 days. He finally let me put some Vapor rub on his chest and even asked for it a second time when he woke up at 3 coughing. Saved this mommy some precious minutes of sleep.
Today is all about letting them play while they feel up to it and mommy getting beds changed while I feel up to it, so that we can have fresh beds for rest time today after lunch. There may or may not be some sanitizing involved.. Smiles.
I have not forgotten my January goals of cleaning and organizing but they have temporarily taken a back seat to getting back to feeling better. I continue to search the web for motivation and inspiration to work on getting our house organized in a way that works for us. While reading from bed I found and old post on Little Lucy Lu's blog about her 40 bags in 40 Days Challenge... she doesn't specify the size of the bag that you have to clear out and some of her places on her list to clean out may be things that we haven't thought of yet check out her list here 40 Days List . She has a lot of great posts if you go ahead and read threw her blog.
I am off to get working on my list of to do's and find out what works and what is right for me! When I figure it out I will let you know. Maybe you can tweak it and add to what your doing and find the perfect fit for you too.
Until then stay healthy, keep warm, and if your in a searching the wonderful world wide web mood come check us out at Little Guys Stitching I have it on good authority that the little guys will be having some fun this week and you may just see some of that listed in our shop.

New year.. New beginnings and promises.

It is a new year with new challenges and new beginnings. This year will definitely have its challenges. The first for me will be posting here on this blog. I have told my self time and time again that I want to do this. I want to share things and be accountable and then be able to look back at the past year and see that even though it may not seem like it, I did more than be just a stay at home mom and wife.
Every year we tell ourselves that we are going to be more organized, less cluttered and that we will be happier if we are. We start the program and some where in the 3rd or 4th month things get busy and get left behind. I'm sure that this year will be no different. The difference this year? I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I am going to try my best and know at the end of the year I tried to be a good mom and wife.
So here it is...Declutter 365: A year of 15 Minute Decluttering Missions. This is the program that we are going to be working through and yes we are a couple weeks behind but our goal as a family is to do our best.
We also have many many goals for our businesses Little Guys Stitching  and Usborne Books and More those too will unfold as we go threw the year. So stick around and stay tuned this year is going to be big for us!!
First up a clean kitchen!! This Momma needs to get to cleaning!

Until the next time!

Good Morning!

Good Morning! Welcome to Little Guys! We made the big decision this week to start a new Blog because our family focus has changed. I would still love to post to A Countrygirls Quilting Adventures but lets just face it right now Mommy doesn't get much time to focus on quilting.

In the last year we started a business over on Etsy called Little Guys Stitching. We love it and are constantly looking for new and fun things to make. The boys test everything that I list in the shop to be sure that it is Little Guy Approved. Mo started preschool and absolutely loves it! G is trying to potty train though I really don't think he is all that interested. And perhaps the biggest shock of all Mommy is going to go back to school this summer.

So needless to say we are a busy house! We have schedules and calendars and well we have yet to find anything that really works for us. We moved from California to Colorado a few years ago and have been in our new house a year this week! (Yeah!! Happy House Anniversary!!) but still are struggling to find an organization style that works for me.

So there it is come join us in our adventures of two little guys growing, mommy learning to juggle it all and finally decluttering and finding organization and schedules that work and help our house run a little smoother while trying to "Do it all".
